So this is kind of random but I just found out you can actually rent Brenda Lee’s childhood home in Nashville.

Yeah, the Brenda Lee. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” Brenda Lee.

Her actual childhood home is a vacation rental now. You can book it for Christmas or whenever but obviously Christmas hits different.

What’s the House Like

They’ve updated it so you’re not like sleeping on some ancient mattress or dealing with sketchy plumbing. New kitchen, good beds, there’s a hot tub out back which honestly is amazing after you’ve been walking around downtown all day.

They kept the bones of the original house though. So it still feels real, you know? Not like some fake replica thing.

You’re in Goodlettsville which is close enough to Nashville that downtown is maybe 20 minutes away but far enough that it’s actually quiet when you get back at night.

Why This Is Better Than a Hotel

Hotels in Nashville around Christmas are either completely booked or they’re charging insane prices. And they’re boring. Like there’s nothing memorable about staying at a Hilton.

But this? You’re waking up in the same house where Brenda Lee woke up as a kid. You can literally play “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” in her house. That’s just way cooler.

Plus there’s a full kitchen so you can make breakfast or heat up whatever you brought back from the honky tonks the night before. Way better than paying $18 for hotel eggs.

Nashville During Christmas Is Worth It

If you haven’t been to Nashville at Christmas you’re missing out. The whole city goes hard with the decorations and lights. There’s live music literally every night. Holiday markets everywhere. Good food obviously.

Downtown gets super crowded but honestly that’s part of what makes it fun. Then you drive back to this quiet neighborhood and it’s the perfect balance.

Book It Soon Though

I checked the calendar and a bunch of weekends are already gone. So if you’re even thinking about it I’d book pretty soon.

Because once it’s booked that’s it. Then you’re scrolling through boring Airbnbs at midnight wondering why you waited.

Just Do It

You’re gonna spend money on somewhere to stay anyway right? Might as well make it something you’ll actually remember.

Five years from now “we stayed in Brenda Lee’s childhood home” is a way better story than “we stayed at some random hotel.”

Seriously though don’t wait too long or I might book it myself.
